Abstract
This paper examines the raising of oil products in domestic consumption along the 1925-1938 period. From just having mainly crude oil export industry, Mexico shifted towards a refining oriented one dealing with the internal oil market that would became so greatly important. Finally, it is pointed out how the post revolutionary governments played a main roll on supporting the sustained growing of oil internal consumption through post revolutionary economical policies based on tax exemptions, sui generis social organizations and, last but not least, the oil price control established deliberately to strength the home expanding market.
