About the Journal
Focus and Scope
ALHE is a journal specialized in the field of material and economic history of Latin America. This publication is aimed at researchers interested in the matter in order to seek and broaden a critical discussion about the historical-economic processes of said region.
Peer Review Process
The arbitration system is composed of external anonymous pairs. The assessors shall be nominated by the members of the Advisory Council and the Editorial Board. When there is discrepancy or irregularity between the assessments, the text shall be sent to a new assessor whose decision shall define the final ruling. The Editorial Board shall have the responsibility of evaluating lax or biased rulings in order to ensure a fair and impartial assessment.
Publication Frequency
The Journal is a quarterly publication published in print and online, as well as on the main indices and digital newspapers of which the Journal forms part, the first days of January, May, and September.
